Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) are a range of health and social services provided to individuals in their own homes or community settings rather than in institutional settings like nursing homes or hospitals. Respite services provide temporary relief to primary caregivers who are responsible for the ongoing care of individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other special needs. These services are designed to give caregivers a break, allowing them to recharge, attend to personal matters, or simply rest while ensuring that their loved ones continue to receive proper care and supervision.
Caregiver/Family Advocacy and Support Services (CFASS) is a program or service model designed to support family caregivers and individuals who provide care for loved ones with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other special needs. CFASS focuses on empowering caregivers through advocacy, education, resources, and emotional support, ensuring they can effectively care for their loved ones while maintaining their own well-being.
Designed for youth age 14 and up to prepare them for future paid work, volunteer work, or career exploration.
